Purge Your Email

Kerio Connect

You might be familiar with the concept of working with an email space quota—all email providers have them. If not, you might soon be faced with a full mailbox. The most missed mailbox to purge is the “sent” mail. Years of correspondence and attachments can pile up in there.

As a Kerio Connect email hosting provider, MacLab gives you the ability to automatically delete sent messages after a time period you designate. Just let us know what works for you (1 yr, 2 yrs, etc). There’s no additional charge for this service. You can copy messages to your computer before the time period is up, or just let them go!

MobileMe Gone, iCloud Not Ready

Apple ended MobileMe enrollment. Existing members can stay on until June 30, 2012. For information on what will happen to your account if you’re a MobileMe user, refer to this Apple FAQ. The replacement, iCloud won’t be available for months. This leaves new Mac buyers that need email, file sharing, calendar and contact syncing over the Internet without a solution from Apple.

Did you know MacLab offers all the above? In addition, schedules and contacts can be shared and/or edited by the entire office team or members of the family, providing a professional solution. We can also give you server space with features that go beyond iDisk. We don’t have any special name for this service, we’ve been too busy. Macloud? AirLab?

MacLab Server Monitoring

MacLab now offers 24/7 monitoring of your servers so we know when critical systems go down and when they come back up—even while you sleep. The fee for this service? Zero. As long as you’re a MacLab client with a server we maintain, we offer this service free. We like to catch problems as quickly as we can, especially for file, backup and mail servers. Check with us to see if your server is on our system. Chances are it is.
